EBC MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide a setting in nature for all who attend our camp or retreats to experience personal growth by encountering the Lord and growing in their relationship with Christ through biblical teaching, worship and prayer. We aim to mentor and grow youth into becoming christian leaders by providing opportunities in our programs for service and leadership.

OUR HERITAGE

Evangelical Baptist Campground (EBC) is owned and operated by the Union of Slavic Churches of Canada. The campground was purchased in 1968 with the vision of creating a conference and retreat center where children and youth camps would teach those who attend the gospel message of salvation through Jesus. The first EBC Children’s camp was held in 1970 and was run by the union’s president at the time, Rev. John Dovgalov with the help of Steve Poczujko.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe that the entire Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God, verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that it is the final authority in all matters of Christian faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16) 2. We believe in One Triune God, eternally existing in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1) 3. We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He was true God and True Man. (Luke 1:31,32) 4. We believe that when the Lord Jesus Christ died on Calvary’s cross it was for our sin, and that through His substitutionary atonement all who accept Him as their personal Saviour have eternal life, and that there is salvation in no other way, and that all who reject Him as their vicarious Saviour are eternally lost. (2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Ephesians 2:8-10) 5. We believe in the convicting, regenerating and guiding power of the Holy Spirit. Believers are commanded to be filled with the Spirit. (John 16:7-11,13-15) 6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His ascension into heaven where he is our Advocate and High Priest. (Acts 10:39-41; Acts 1:10-11) 7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believer and the unbeliever. The everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (John 5:28-29)

Loving God. Loving People.
